This is an excellent mouse with one pitfall, but it shouldn't be enough to be a deal breaker
PROS:
-It feels expensive and well-made
-Even though I would say I have big hands, it is quite comfortable as you can see the design protrudes slightly at the end to rest your palms. I tried some Logitech mouses out at Best Buy and they didn't feel as large because the sides were inward sloping
-Mouse clicks are practically silent (this is preference, some people might prefer audible "feedback")
- The scroll wheel is smooth-scrolling. This means it doesn't have those little scroll notches like the Logitech mouses tend to have. This is good and bad. It makes scrolling down sites almost "enjoyable", but it makes for annoying middle-clicking as the wheel slips occassionally and you have to reclick.
-5 year warranty
CONS:
-The middle click issue is annoying as I frequently middle click to open links in new tabs when I'm using the internet
-The one "auxiliary" button on the left side is kind of weird. I would have put two or zero (used forward and back buttons when in a web browser), but this is really just nitpicking.
-Burned out transceiver issue seems to be relatively widespread. I have not had any issues and mine runs cool, but I will have to wait and see. As I mentioned, it has a five-year warranty and Microsoft seems to have taken care of people who had theirs burned out. They also seem to be aware of the problem, so I'm assuming a fixed transceiver will be released soon.
