I bought my printer nearly two years ago, and for the first 9 months, it ran like a dream. However, I began having some problems when I upgraded to CS2. Suddenly, the printer had no idea what to do with itself... it printed things all over creation and invented it's very own personal set of margins that had little or nothing to do with my presets or the page presets. A few weeks ago, the rollers on the right hand side of the printer bit it, and everything I tried to print was being dragged through at an angle, rendering the printer useless. When I took it in for repairs, I was told that it would cost less to replace than to repair it; I ABSOLUTELY refused to toss a printer that I paid THIS much for after a year and change, so I took the whole thing apart myself and fixed the problem. The fix lasted a GIANT print job (a few hundred design sheets) and then the paper intake decided that it was retired. I have been manually feeding paper in to the back of the printer, which is a hoot when you have to print HUNDREDS of something. They should downgrade the quality from "professional", as this thing has choked big time at the professional level.
