The Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II printer is the highest quality printer that I have owned. The colors are beautiful and natural. I find that I get a picture that is more like the screen image when I print from Photoshop CS4 than from the included software. This does not imply that the results from the included software are not pleasing. It says that the amount of fine control that is possible with this printer is near the max imaginable.
For the level of complexity implied by an advanced printer, the set up was very easy. The print heads are replacable as a set which means that this printer will keep running close to new condition for a very long time. The ink cartridge installation is fool proof. There is a light associated with each cartridge to verify that it is correctly installed in the right slot.
With the ability to insert single sheets in a flat paper path, there should be very few paper surfaces that cannot be handled by this printer.
Highly recommended for serious photographers.
